Analytics install
One line, pasted once, loads on every page. It records how people use your site and remembers where each lead came from.
The snippet
<!-- Second Shift Analytics: one line, in your site header or before </body> -->
<script src="https://forms.secondshift.site/t.js" data-client="YOUR_CLIENT_ID" async></script>Paste it in your site header or right before the closing </body> tag, anywhere it loads on every page. Replace YOUR_CLIENT_ID with the client ID from your dashboard under Settings, For your developer. On WordPress, Elementor, and Next.js, the install guides show exactly where the line goes.
What it records
Pageviews, link taps, engagement, page speed, and JavaScript errors. It also keeps first-touch attribution: when a lead arrives, you can see which page and which campaign brought them. Query strings are stripped before anything is recorded, except campaign tags like utm_source.
What it never does
No cookies, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site tracking. A first-party visitor ID in the browser's local storage connects repeat visits; the records on our servers are keyed by a hash that rotates daily. The script is about 5 KB and sends small beacons to https://forms.secondshift.site/api/track; that is the only request it makes.
Notes
This is the v2 tracker (t.js), the only analytics snippet Second Shift hands out. If you find an older analytics.js line anywhere, it is retired: replace it with the snippet above.
